Hyde Ice Skates

Not much is know about Hyde skates, back in the early 1920's Hyde shoes were bolted to roller trucks made by the Chicago Roller Skate Co, owned by the wares bros they patented their trucks in Aug 15 1914.

Hyde ice skates from the 1950 used tubular steel blades made by MK steel of Sheffield England. A few pairs of Hyde skates even survived long enough to be fitted with Tuk blades.

Pictured below is a more modern pair of Hyde skates fitted with inline wheels, but we have no information regarding their origin.
